You place the design deposit and send your wording, artwork or reference. We draw it up and show you a proof. Once you approve it, we send a custom order with the final quote and you pay the balance — production only starts after your approval, so nothing is cut until the design is exactly right.
Clean with warm water and a mild soap on a soft cloth, then dry with a microfibre. Acrylic scratches more easily than it looks like it should, so avoid paper towels and abrasive pads.
Never use ammonia-based glass cleaner. Windex and its relatives cause acrylic to craze — a web of fine cracks that cannot be polished out. The same goes for acetone, alcohol wipes and most solvent cleaners. Plain soap and water, or a dedicated plastic cleaner, and nothing else.
Store flat or hanging, out of direct sunlight and away from heat. Acrylic will bow if it is left leaning against a radiator or shut in a hot car.
Acrylic is rigid and unforgiving, and the thicker pieces carry real weight. Keep strikes to well-padded areas, and stay off the tailbone, kidneys, spine and joints. Agree a safeword before anything begins and check in out loud rather than assuming.
Inspect the paddle before each use. If you find a chip or a crack in the acrylic, retire it — cracked acrylic can fail suddenly under impact and leave a sharp edge. Get in touch and we will talk about a replacement.
